1. What, specifically about your topic, are you going to research? I am going to research the effect of ocean pollution on marine life.2.What conclusions did you come to? What do you recommend average citizens do to make a difference? Be specific. This is the main part of your assignment. There are many different forms of ocean pollution. One of which is, oils spills. When oil is spilled into the ocean it not only seriously effects coral reef development, but can clog fish gills making respiration almost impossible. It can also prevent photosynthesis in marine plants by blocking all the sunlight from the plants. Dumbing industrial waste into the ocean also causes marine life issues. Often, the waste contains toxic chemicals such as mercury, dioxin, PCBs, PAHs and radioactive materials. When the fish consume the chemicals it could kill them. If the fish are served to humans we could also be affected indirectly. Garbage dumping can dissolve the oxygen in the water leaving to fish and sea mammals to die from suffocation. Sea life is commonly choked or suffocated by plastic that are being dumped into the ocean. They mistake them food or get tangled up in them.
There are many ways people can help reduce the amount of ocean pollution and help save marine life. One is to change the way we make daily decisions and add a little bit of thought into how that decision will affect marine life. Another great way to help the environment would be to learn more about ocean pollution and its effects on marine life. You can even join and under water clean up crew. I think the best thing you can do is limit the amount of trash u are dumping and know where your garbage is being dumped. You should also try your very best to recycle as much as possible.

3.What would happen if, worst case scenario, if no-body listened to your recommendations?
If nobody listened to my reccommendations, our oceans would become completely polluted. There would be trash everywhere and our beautiful, magnificent oceans would be lost! All the marine life would eventually die out, messing with our food chain and completely disrupting the Eco-system. We would have no source of sea food at all. This is the worst case scenario for nobody listening to my suggestions.
4.What would happen if, best case scenario, if everybody listened to your recommendations?
If everyone listened to my recommendations, ocean pollution would cease to exist. All the marine life would be saved. There would be no turtles dying from swallowing a plastic bag, or any dolphins starving to death due to a pop can connector stuck around it's beak.Our oceans would also have their natural beauty returned. This might also lower global warming. If everybody listened to these suggestions this would be the best case scenario.
